Visa FOr a dream
Directed by my wonderful friend Daniella Castillo, Visa for a Dream tells the story of a young woman’s struggle to find connection as an immigrant having a wedding her own parents can not attend.
Visa for a dream was an incredibly important story to my director, and so her and I spent endless amount of time locking down a visual style, meticulously shot listing and storyboarding, and defining exactly how we were going to do this story justice. With a camera that never moves and only a couple locations, for me that meant lighting was everything, and its use had to be expressive.
